Registered Angus Cattle
Registered Angus cattle are the foundation of our cattle enterprise. We carefully select for genetics adapted to Florida's difficult environment. Heat, humidity, insects and parasites are all factors in cattle husbandry here.
Our Angus genetics come from Florida and Georgia Angus "families". We seek animals that will thrive in heat on forage and grass, without the necessity of grain feeding. We want animals that will gain at the rate of 1.5 pounds per day.
We seek low birth weights, and medium framed animals for our climate. We do not sacrifice weaning or yearling weights in the process.
We ultrasound our bulls for ribeye area and marbling and deliver only fertility tested, documented ready bulls to those who purchase them from us.
We also use many South Poll cattle as dams for our commercial herd.
We usually have bulls for sale at all critical times of the breeding year. We sometimes will offer excellent Angus heifers.
